The Athletes of CrossFit MSP say the
Top 10 Reasons to Train at CFMSP are:
It’s quick.
A full warm up, workout, and cool down takes less than an hour. Most workouts are between 12-20 minutes...some even shorter.
The facility.
The facility and equipment is top notch. The gym is kept impeccably neat and clean. Everyone takes pride in our gym, and helps each other to keep it that way.
It’s satisfying.
While the workouts are short, there are no shortcuts in CrossFit. You give it your all each and every time. Pushing yourself and boundaries that you didn’t know were possible. This is how the program is designed. It’s rough for a few weeks, but after that, you can’t imagine getting fit any other way.
It’s addictive.
The intensity and challenge of the workouts are addictive. You show up and there is no doubt that you're in for a killer workout. Because of the intensity, you forget how much it’s going to suck, what you did that day, or any self-conscious doubts about what other people in the gym are thinking. What you do know is the confidence you feel after completing the workout and seeing what your body can do.
It's infinitely scalable.
Every workout is tweaked to your needs and capabilities. Michael takes great care and is very skilled at choosing the weights, heights, assists, reps, etc., so every workout feels tailor-made for you. Whether you are an Elite athlete or someone just starting out, you CAN do CrossFit.
It’s a sport.
The site has “The Sport of Fitness” as the tagline, and that’s exactly what CrossFit is for many people. It’s a sport where you can compete against yourself, or against others. The competition is friendly and it’s nice to see people pushing themselves just a little harder because they want to edge out their buddy by even one second.
You are a part of a community.
The atmosphere is totally awesome in that everyone at CFMSP is friendly, supportive, encouraging, and helpful. The intensity breeds camaraderie. Whether it’s your first time, or your one hundredth time at CrossFit MSP, you immediately feel like you are a part of a “family”, belonging to a to a larger community that includes people from all walks of life.
It’s fun.
Because the workouts are constantly varied, you never get bored. You are constantly learning new skills, be it a kipping pull-up or the proper technique on a technical lift. All of this helps to keep things interesting and challenging. The feeling of properly executing a lift, or successfully getting that first kipping pull-up, is simply AMAZING! It’s the best things I do most days. It is centering both mentally and physically.
